Dec 2012
Going frontward, and backward
Through the times of my life
Looking at love, and looking at strife
Seeing what shaped me
Into what I've become
interested in where I'm from.

My love of all, as well as fear
Both trying to control me
But I know its love that can set me free
I must let go of fear
and cling to a love that's true
So I may find a love in you.

Beauty in all that you are
I see freedom in you,
You turn my ash grey eyes back to blue
You can light my way
How can you be so bright
I am soothed by your warm light

You uplift my soul --
You make me whole --
Only you --
Could do --
This.
Odd meter, Goes by syllables   Stanza 1 Lines (1 - 7 s) (2 - 6 s) (3 - 9 s) (4 - 5 s) (5 - 6 s) (7 - 7 s) Stanza 2 Lines (1 - 8 s) (2 - 7 s) (3 - 10 s) (4 - 6 s) (5 - 7 s) (7 - 8 s) Stanza 3 is the same as stanza 1  and stanza 4 Lines ( 1 - 5 s) ( 2 - 4 s) (3 - 3 s) (4 - 2 s) (5 - 1 s)  Funny thing is I wrote it and THEN saw the pattern :D
