You took my heart,
And stomped out its flame.
You sought to destroy,
Something you thought you could tame.

You think you're so tough,
You can't boss me around.
That voice torments me so,
Such a thundering sound.

I had once loved you,
My thoughts of you I cannot shake.
I felt in the pit of my soul what we had was true,
But now you just make my ticker ache.

You never told me how you felt
Or how much you had cared
You had complete control of the place where my heart once dwelt
Which no other person has ever shared

have you always cared for me?

of course I have, why wouldn't that be?

my heart's still yours and yours is mine.

just take my hand and it will all be fine...
