N / The Santa Barbara poems 18
You may
weep to
cleanse
my face,
I may
sing to
bring
joy to
your day.
and the
streams
blend
to rivers
and sunlight
warms
the belly
of high
clouds.
and we
are each
of these
things.
not one
more or
less
than the
other,
open
wide
around
me,
hold your
arms
unforgiving
around
my soul
let me
feel
your cycles
they
weave
around
me,
with truth
honor
and passion
for all
that you
do...
and just
as God
the creator
has placed
the moon
perfect
from the
earth,
and placed
the sun
perfect
to the
universe.
so has
he placed
you and I
to each
other.
no darkness...
blending
as one
destiny
not two...
