1 I take a day off and I drive my grandma to the mall You’re the best grandson ever, she says You make time for me
And so she walks from shop to shop armed with her shopping list She throws each item into the trolley and ticks off against her list Two hours, three hours, four pass and she smiles to me and says: We’re done! Let’s go…
2 And so we go to the car and I help her load every item in the boot, and in the back and just then, she says: Oh, no – we got to go back; there’s one more thing I’ve got to get!
But grandma, I say, You had a list and ticked off each item and you’ve bought everything
But you silly boy, says Grandma *I haven’t bought you anything Because I forgot to put you on the list!
