yeah, rings a bell... i vaguely remember doing this... no: i adamantly remember doing this... 2nd year at Edinburgh, having failed a 1st year extra curriculum class in French, after losing my virginity to Isabella, the 3rd year foreign exchange student from Grenoble... majored in psychology... 2nd year, taking a class in social studies or some *******... we were given a task of writing an essay, rather than sitting an exam... forget what it was... subject matter... we were told that plagiarism A.I. was in place, that would "reread" our efforts and find out which work was plagiarized, and which wasn't... well... ahem... i didn't get a 1st (70%+) score on the essay by investing in originality... i was too busy scouting last.fm for new music... i cheated... yeah... i cheated an A.I. system that was, supposed to, pluck out plagiarisms... **** just didn't work... wrote past its parameters... apparently an A.I. system that makes plagiarism distinctions wasn't as effective when it came to someone heavily emphasizing the use of a thesaurus... it's not like ctrl + c / ctrl + p the whole essay... but i wasn't exactly writing an essay: i, wanted, to be, caught... i wasn't... which is the real shame... i really did plagiarize what allowed me a 1st marking... and it wasn't even my own work... i just churned it through a thesaurus, along with other minor techniques... what came out was... yeah... that whole anti-plagiarism A.I. system? not exactly effective... oops?
