Pressure.
                            stumbling deeper, trembling
                                  sprawling, toppling.
                                 a clumsy kind of pain

                                              Down.

                                   warm golden pools,
searing as they drip, drip, drip.

                                            Down.

                                     trapped between
                           the confines of a Memory
                                   tight little space
                                     don’t go in it,
                                        no escape.

                                         Down.

                                        my skin,
                                        my heart,
                                       my lungs.
                             carved and branded.
                                      red, raw
                                  push deeper

                                      Down.

                        constricting of my chest,
                       rapid rising of my breast.
                             everything’s hazy.
                                    confusing.
                                      its bliss.

                                     Down.

                        protected, hidden now.
a simple price to pay, a silly little trick
                                      forget.

                                   Down
                                                 Down
                                                               Down.
