Across the Rift
She gave me a sunrise for my birthday,
I gave her a wail.
She gave me a sleepy eye
I gave her dreams.
She gave me a birthmark
And I gave her spite
She gave me safety,
I gave her delight.
She gave me playgrounds,
I gave her antics
She gave romantics,
I bowed my head
She gave me form
And I touched her body
She gave me shivers
And I gave her amazing ***
She has too many
But I'm not enough
Somewhere between us
It's somewhere between us...
She gave me age
And I gave my answer
Somewhere between us,
It's somewhere between...
