Poems
Dec 2012
Connecticut.
A loud noise
Shoots through the air
And explodes
It then echoes
Not just off the walls
But off many hearts
The word spread quickly
A land watches
And weeps
Leaders clad in iron nerves
Pause a moment
To gather themselves
And so this dark sorrow
Fills each heart
That hears the echo
Young children
Never to grow old
Gone in a moment
And so we are
Sad soldiers, wanting to fight
A war already lost.
