The solitude of silence/ the nowhere poems
Time
has left
space.
love has
consumed all
that lived
before it.
like a tapestry
pulled
tightly
over
her heart
she hides
in the solitude
of silence.
she wears
love's
broken
promises
around
her neck,
like a
small
child
a sweater
that doesn't
fit.
tugging at it
here
pulling at it
there.
color all wrong
style out
of date.
an uncomfortable
circumstance.
leaving
no survivors.
only doubts
and questions
of his leaving,
and the hole
in the sweater
above her
heart,
where something
was taken
and never
given back.
