The truth about loneliness
Loneliness,
it will isolate you,
it will make you bleed,
it will make you weak.
Once you've given up the fight
it will embrace you,
hold you in it's cold arms
where you'll shiver so bad.
Eventually
you'll fight free,
you'll meet friends,
you'll be happy.
But in the end
you'll never shake the cold,
that awful cold
that creeps upon you at night.
It will make you yearn
for a comforting touch,
some warmth
to soothe your shivering soul.
Oh how I wish for some warmth,
for someone to hold on to
while my feelings wash over me
and drag me into darkness.
