The moonlight lay effortlessly
against the grooves
of dark blue-grey
And in a moment -
You pulled me into you
and I drank up
your caring embrace
You swallowed me
like the moon swallowed
the night
I let the love pour out of me
like bright-red blood
from an open wound
You sipped it out of me-
gently and with a kind of
care I'd never felt before
Slowly, it dripped out
And was filled instantly
with something even more
Beautiful.
Swirling around my soul,
carving lines into the
palms of my hands
and twisting between
my fingers
