Today as
I listened
to you I
witnessed
God bleed,

in an isle
at a local
market,

and all
color
fell
from the
sky.

and I listened
to you
with all
of my might.

and I
was suddenly
a poet
of small
things,

and a
messenger
of skeleton
words.

a thrower
of bricks
through
the  looking
glass window.

and for
a moment
I lost
all-purpose.

I was
there
you were
there,

and we
were a
great gift
to one
another
that no one
else could
see.

and I
was looking
at you,

and suddenly
you knew
and I knew,

and God
touched
us with
a great truth,

and suddenly
my whole
universe was
right with
you there.

right
between
the eyes.
