Now watch me prove to you that no poem ever starts until you start to tell the truth.
No words ever said could compare to what we write.
Now watch me poor my soul out to you while my tears stain this page,
Then tell me what you think.
Now watch me write,
Write the words you never thought you could.
Don’t hear but listen to my young lips utter the meaning of my art.
Don’t listen to them,
They've lied to you
So come with me and laugh like we’re the only ones that matter,
Cry with me so that every tear drop seems as though of our very essence.
Watch me question myself.
And when you’re done watching me,
I’ll watch you let someone out of you that no one has ever known,
I’ll watch you prove to me that you've written your first poem.
Now watch me listen to you finally start to tell the truth
