My love for you exceeds any love in the galaxy
To be without you for a second would turn to be a life time,
And every moment I spend without you,
I spend searching
Searching the world for the love that you gave to me
The love that we built together,
The love that sustains the generations,
This one and all the next
And until the day that you return
I will be a slave, a vagabond, another lost in love
Until you come back, I’ll hold your photo to my heart like it was the only hint of life among all the death, pain, and destruction
And when you return I’ll hold you in my arms like the Bible in a sinner’s palms asking for forgiveness
And in infinity my love for you will persist.

Now watch me prove to you that no poem ever starts until you start to tell the truth.
No words ever said could compare to what we write.
Now watch me poor my soul out to you while my tears stain this page,
Then tell me what you think.
Now watch me write,
Write the words you never thought you could.
Don’t hear but listen to my young lips utter the meaning of my art.
Don’t listen to them,
They've lied to you
So come with me and laugh like we’re the only ones that matter,
Cry with me so that every tear drop seems as though of our very essence.
Watch me question myself.
And when you’re done watching me,
I’ll watch you let someone out of you that no one has ever known,
I’ll watch you prove to me that you've written your first poem.
Now watch me listen to you finally start to tell the truth
Written for an assignment about how I felt about poetry. Inspired by My favorite poet, Jasmine Mans.

I saw you don't you remember?
I saw you,
you had this walk that was so smooth,
these eyes that pierced through me like bullets penetrating the heart of a soldier,
these holes that you gave me,
they don't bleed anymore,
they stopped,
well until,
until I saw you again,
I run and run to you,
but with every step I learn of what I thought was impossible,
it wasn't you,
it was your enigma veiled over a man that i thought was you,
his every move, in my eyes, was yours
I had given him your voice, your smile, your ambition, I had given him everything,
and yet there was something that was already there,
it was in his eyes,
they said it all,
your eyes and his were so alike because I saw the fact that he had never known me,
the only difference was that he never had to erase,
erase me, us, everything we had,
in both of your eyes I had never existed,
so even if you don't remember me,
I'll carefully fold, like silk, your enigma and place it where it belongs,
and when I find man's eyes that say they love me and they won't let go
I'll veil it over him,
and pretend that he is you
