I saw your colours dancing,

When I closed my eyes to sleep.

So I gave you a piece of my heart,

That I now pray you will keep.

When I look into your eyes.

I can see through fire,

Seeing your mind peering back,

It fills my being with desire.

I see you existing,

With your exotic beauty and spirit,

It all leaves me quite breathless,

Something I hate to admit.

Knowing deep within my soul,

That you could set me free.

Trying to keep myself in check,

Do I have to let things be?

In another time or place,

Maybe you’d be mine?

For me and you though, my dear,

The stars they must align.

And so I pledge to you,

As I ponder us this night.

That although I cannot fix all things,

It’s your soul for which I fight.
