Even on a cloudy day
In drenched clothes caught out in the rain
My entire life in disarray
But you’re still perfect in every way.
Maybe we’re not on the same page
In your eyes, I see the rage
That festers in your heart and brain
Let us overcome the war we wage

Tears are wet, our bodies dry
How did our lives get so intertwined
Aging better than expensive wine
Let’s reminisce of a forgotten time

Some might say I’m walking blind
Into the darkness of the night
You’re the sunshine in my eyes
And the stars above perfectly aligned
The scent of you is so divine
It reminds me that you’re Gods design
There’s certainly no good reason why
Our two hearts should not combine
No mountains top that we can’t climb
Hold my hand and let’s take flight
Just don’t make me weak with Kryptonite.
