The way the world should be
Is not often what we find
But do we try to change what is
Among humankind

When it comes to acceptance
Of what goes against our grain
Some find it such an easy task
Never trying to refrain

Ignoring someone's suffering
Is an easy path that many of us find
We'd rather turn our heads
Than give a minute of our time

I truly do believe
That if we wish to rearrange
What is,  to what should be
Our thinking must be changed
