Pretty Little Thing

It’s a pretty little thing, that butterfly.

Sitting there

flaunting its stuff.

Makes me mad.

I step on it.

Crush it,

under my boot,

mush it around, some.

It’s all sticky, now.

I don’t care.

Just wanted to show it

who’s the boss around here.
