Sep 2018
skimming a surface with help from the fortunate
along the lines of doubt I walk
settling for something, unsure of the outcome
when all is said and done, we're one

read yourself into a mood
of glory and pain, it's all the same
closed off and solitarily occupied
by the mouth of a thief, hollow and daunting

arisen like a storm
weighted by the sound
of your keys hitting the ground
with the lonely I take refuge
