The moist, warm fingers of the summer night
Sweetly caress and cling to me tight
In a dream so real--
It would seem I should feel at ease,
But the breeze isn't there,
And the warm, summer air disagrees

You warm my body with your summer kiss,
Smothering me with uneasy bliss,
Till I try to go,
And you sigh and say, "No, don't fight,"
Then delight me with charm,
In the lingering, warm summer night.
