Maybe we just weren’t enough
Sitting at our favorite diner
Melted shakes
Thunder clouds chasing our sins
We looked so different now
Than what we use to be
And at the time there was no one else
Figuring I’d be a mess by myself
I feared the rain falling down
I asked “Wanna talk about it?”
You replied “The rain looks really pretty.”
And, I knew when the sun came out
Our time would be up
And, you still believe everything is meant to be
So, we learn to let go just to be free
