She may have been quiet, but she was certainly not blind.
She was not imperceptive or  slow or uncomprehending of what you were doing to her.
Maybe she was ignoring it, sure,
But deep down she really knew.

She had felt it for months upon months..
Upon months upon months.
She did not want to hurt you.
But why? When you were hurting her?

Then she found the light.
She received the sign she had been craving
For months upon months..
Upon months upon months.

Suddenly.. She was free.
