Gyre
Up wind- cuffed pathways
chanced and fooled
I saw her, briefly
Her briskly dress, a squalling maul
of last year's favourite maple, horned
in all jurassic passion, met me,
dizzy, by the lee-side wall
with gale-borne abandon.
