Dear Lord, give me the wisdom,
That is needed to be wise.
Virtues I need to live by,
Don't let sin come to disguise.

Lord, help my heart be caring,
Also help my heart be kind.
The joys that are camouflaged,
In clear sight, them, help me find.

Loving, help my heart to be,
Help me know how I should live,
At times when I'm weak in life,
Give me the strength to forgive.

Understanding help me be,
Lord, give my heart sturdiness.
Help me, Lord, always strive for,
