I know I've said it before
But on a different accord
You say I'm perfect for you
But that's not really me
I'm not that perfect girl of beauty and grace
I hit the slightest bump and fall on my face
I'm not that perfect girl you see in the mirror
I know you're looking for her but she's not here
She's lost in the storm
She broke her wings
when she tried to fly
To you
You say that I'm perfect but
I'm broken and damaged and hurt
You say it makes me who I am
I'm not the girl you see in the mirror
I wake up at night trembling with fear
That one day you'll see I'm not her
4 years later you still say I'm her
You've been my best friend all my life
And I hope that never ends
You say one day I'll see
There never was a her just you
And that I'm perfect for you
Even when you're feeling blue
Your always here for me
I'd never change a thing
Because I'm in love with you
This was written for my best friends who have been together a long time who would do anything for eachother.
