Sleep slips softly over my skin
Drowning out thoughts
Drifting half-awake, half asleep
But I know that you're here
Beneath the starlit sky
Watching from the shadows
As I float in this void
I can smell your cologne
Hint of wood and tobacco
Warming my heart
Your hand on my hand
Drawing me to your world
To look into your eyes
Trace your smile
Kiss your lips softly
Scent of roses stronger now
Fills me with a longing
To be in your arms
To feel the passion one more time
Before I wake again
Beneath the silken covers
Of my loneliness
