Distance stands between us
The time is growing near
That I'll get to hold my sweetheart
My darling, my dear
There's excitement running through me
There's a skip in every step
My smiles' worn for all to see
Until my hearts content
Time has become a blessing now
When I thought it to be a curse
I'm unsure how this will all play out
But in my mind its been rehearsed
My anticipation is off the charts
That my beloved should now appear
It's like nothing I've encountered
Not once in all my years
The joy I feel is boundless
Yet it still hasn't reached its peak
I'm certain to approach its limits
Once our two hearts finally meet
To try and describe this feeling
Words just seem so obsolete
For emotion is heard its loudest
When ones heart skips a beat
I picture fireworks and neon lights
Yet nothing so discrete
That moment that our eyes do fix
I'll know what it’s like to be complete.
