Is fundamental
Only when I'm hurting
I could write up something sentimental

I would purposely hurt myself
Just to know if I still feel

Its torture,
I'm certain
But sometimes you need hell
Just to get a little piece of heaven

Appreciate the pain
Even though its suffering
You could learn a thing or two from it
And make your life worth living
