Nov 2012
Cool mist rests upon my sleeves
While a frozen breeze stirs fallen leaves
The songbirds chirp their last songs vibrantly
Before the first night of frost, they leave triumphantly
For the warmth of the Spring, my heart grieves
Their return will bring its joys, it believes
So it sits by the window lookingΒ Β skyward expectantly

These long months shan't be so lonely and cold
Not if I can have you by my side
Within the arms of one another, we shall enfold
Living happily together, with only love to betide
So have no fear sweetheart, take my hand
My greatest wish and my only demand
This is the first Sonnet of hopefully an entire Heroic Crown of Sonnets that I wish to write as a Christmas present. Enjoy!
