MOMMA
If I could only pick up the phone,
And hear your tender voice.
If only we could have one more day,
But we were never given that choice.
You were taken away from me,
at such a young age.
It’s been like reading a book
Yet Being unable to turn the page.
I miss you more than ever,
My pain always hidden inside.
Sometimes it slips through my broken cracks,
And I find it difficult to hide.
You truly are a blessing,
Because you gave me birth.
Then the saddest day came along,
When we gave you back to mother earth.
You will always be in my heart,
You will always be on my mind.
All the wonderful memories,
That are forever left behind.
I know you’re up there listening,
And I want to let you know.
I’ll love you for eternity,
But this Momma you already know.
