Old man driving flat out down highway in new car
A policeman there stopped him along the way
Look I'm going home early give me a reason why
Your in such an almighty hurry better be good I say

Well the old guy said to policeman it's like this mate
My wife ran off with a policeman last week true
And I thought you were bringing her back
What else was I really  supposed to  **** well  do

She can't be all that bad can she the policeman said
The old guy pleaded breaking down in tears
Married to her I  ought to know I'm telling you
For deliberate ****** a bloke only gets ten years

Well if I see her I'll pull her aside for questions a few
The old guy said better call for back up it's true
She'd take care of one policeman in an hour or two
And you'll not have a home after work to go to
