Let me drown in your words,
Sweet whispers
And nectar that stings
The tip of my tongue
When it meets yours
In the shadow of the curtains,
Hung like leaves on our evergreen tree,
Lasting all of eternity
Until we decide to chop it down,
And I can no longer hear your sound
As the tree has fallen
In the abandoned forest
We once called home.
