As a candle will burn longer
It's worth way less all of the time~
And as we to go through our daily lives
Our candle of life burns so ever fine~
As our time on earth it slips slowly away
The value of life to many becomes cheaper~
Burning life up as if a candle
And the way back it becomes ever so steeper~
The value of life was once worth far more
Today not many care about values fine and free~
So many they feel they'll live forever more
Not thinking at all of our final destiny~
These days it's all computers it seems
Nobody works that hard any more much at all~
Running through life as does the wind
Feeling they'll ever have to climb life's final wall~
Once there was needed so little to be happy
Now more and more we seem to need to even live~
When not all that long ago we had it all
And we then still had so very much to freely give~
But along came those with an eye for a buck
And almost robbed this planet dry~
And among our most respected wealthy
Not hardly a tear they'll ever cry~
Very few will ever realize what they've done
And they'll never miss what it is they've never known~
But with just a little more human and planet consideration
Instead of burning up our candle it could have grown~
We all arrive with nothing when first born
And at end of day we leave ever so much the same-
Every single soul upon earth and life a gift from God
So much still needless woe , struggle and pain-
