I write but do not speak
My voice is really weak
I’m shy and not self- confident
My love life’s looking bleak

My writing is my therapy
Because therapy’s not cheap
When writing I am focused
Who else should I appease?

Rules are not withstanding
I’m fluent in deceit
Over and over back and forth
Repeat, repeat, repeat

My penmanship is modern
It’s you I’d like to meet
Hold you in my arms
Until the enemy retreats

Love is way too powerful
All on-comers we’ll defeat
Every day’s more beautiful
My parents you should meet

Or maybe you’re not ready
To finally make the leap
Here’s a dozen roses
Now let me get some sleep!
