I Lose Myself
I lose myself in words of a book
Not lifting my head, no need to look
I lose myself in stories told
Reading words of stories so bold
Fantasy adventures things kids only dream
Far off lands, night time and moon beams
I lose myself to escape real life
Tension so thick, can cut it with a knife
I lose myself in words of a book
To a place I don't care how I look
No judgement passed, no constant stares
Lost in a book, I don't care
Anxieties fade, I feel relaxed
My mind unwinds, my body collapses
Comfy spot curled up in my bed
Warm under the covers, pillow under my head
Page after page, one chapter left
Feeling sleepy book on my chest
Couldn't make it to the end I did my best
