Thanks to natures blessings
It still stood watching generations pass by
If it could walk or even talk
Its last word would be  Goodby

Of late more than an old tree could stand
Once mountain forest now highways busy
Oldest ree once only knew a forest now a city park
Enough to have a three hundred year old tree dizzy

Old tree none give a thought of what its seen
Oldest tree of nature soon could be where scrapers stand
Oldest tree once endless family now bound to be alone
As stupidity fills the world walks hand in hand

With others ever so long ago gave of oxygen
Of late oldest tree not feeling very well
Once birds and all of nature as its mountain friends
Now alone in a city park resembles a tree in hell

Long forgotten the forests it once knew
None listening  or interested if they could true
Oldest tree now without natures respect
Not the tree it was has been will be of all it knew
