My love had wings that carried me
Like an eagle across the blue
We smiled like we were spirits Free
Like the world was made for two.

We captured visions of nature’s truth
And held them to our heart
our memories had eternal youth
But time and love must apart.

like a thousand years of silence It seems,
since we strolled into the day
our laughter faded to dying dreams
My heart feels old and gray

I grasp a cloud to mask the pain
But sun shines through the mist
Rainbows may soar and tears may rain
Winds stole the love I’ve missed.

Should I dream or should I sleep?
Should I live another night?
Should I sing or should I weep?
Should I run into the light?
