A pheonix rises to greet the sun
Ashes falling from a life just begun
Against the hollow depths of the shadowed night
This bird rises in glorious flames to fight
With songs of the soul that can't be kept silent
He lifts his wings high into the darkening dusk
But the last rays of the sun turn this pheonix into dust
His shadow joins the darkness of the sorrowed skies
And the life and light in his eyes slowly dies

He seems to be lost, but as the sun rises to light
He flies across the sky sharing his fire of life
As he soars through the air, hope on his wings,
He vanquishs the midnight with the beauty he brings
