Flower

I am a flower

Soft and gentle with defined edges

My skin is of velvet and my colours are of gold and ocean blue

Although I may look delicate my roots are unbreakable and my petals cannot be bruised

For the sun has come and scorched me

and the rain has come and drowned me

Yet I still stand tall

Yet I still grow

Yet I still thrive
