The Remnants
The wind blew
In and took whatever it pleased
The houses and cars
The hopes and dreams
The people flocked to corners and
Gas stations and the homes of those unaffected
But the damage was done
And the price was paid
The only thing to do now is wait
Wait and see
For when Mother Nature thinks it's time
Everything must go and even words that make no sense
Must still come together to rhyme
