I love you with my heart and soul
Made sure I was safe and kept my stomach full
Taught me how to ride a bike and how to park a car
When I need you you're never too far
But see you only have 100 years to live
And I want to see you make it that far
But the way you're drinking is leaving deep scars
You have to know the bottle has control over you
Everyday you have to have more than just two
You guzzle and you stumble
And when I look in your eyes sometimes I don't see my dad but just some drunk guy
I've seen how liquor slowly destroys
So I have to say thank you because it's something I'll always avoid
Don't be stubborn for once just listen to me
I wish you could look through my eyes and see what I see
Your health is in a downward spiral
I would do anything to see more sober smiles
But alcohol can take over your mind
And eventually it will be all you're ever trying to find
Do it for yourself, your family and me
Get on your knees for God and plea
I pray you realize before it's too late
Honestly I'm not sure how much more you can take
