Me and you were once one
Like a knot so tight it can't be undone
But we fell
We fell like a glass plate that hits the ground and now there are a hundred shattered pieces
And I know that you can feel this
This pain that lingers in my chest
Because you always told me I was the best
But treated me like the worst
The way I looked deeper than your outer appearance was a first
I saw right through you and I knew your heart
When everything started to shatter it's hard to find the start
Because one day it tasted so sweet and the next it turned sour
Your hands would love me and then fight me the next hour
I'm just trying to fit the pieces together
But most got ruined from the rainy weather and now they don't connect
When we loved the sunshine was perfect
And I cant remember the last drought
If you ever really cared is what I'm trying to find out
