Fleeting
Our time was always fleeting
Never enough
We were always running somewhere else
Yet wanting to be together
Our time was fleeting
Never enough
Sometimes we had an hour
Sometimes a half hour or a few minutes
Before it ran out
We always wanted more
But we never got it no matter what we tried
Our time was always fleeting
Like sand in an hourglass
Delicate like a rose petal or butterfly
Impossible to hold onto
Our time was always fleeting
