Mudpies
I've been a child
As long as I can remember
Soft, young and mild
At least I feel to be
In the moments of peace
When no one calls my name
When the sun warms my face
And the birds sing of summer
Swallows dance and chase
Filled with white hope
Pure and untainted
My world magic
