When we were children awhile back some
And staying at grandma's home~
She'd give us little things to do
So she could have some on her own~
She came up with a good idea
Just to keep us busy~
Most of all it it was wet
She'd have us make a busy lizzy~
Us children sitting upon her floor
Oldest magazines there in a pile~
Along with the thickest old news paper each
And she'd hand us the scissors and smile~
Then came a container of old home made glue
Flour and water and brush~
And we'd cut out lots n lots of pictures
She'd say take ya time there's no rush~
From front to back we ended up
With the most interesting scrapbook ever~
So beautiful and even educational
Interesting and so clever~
A drop sheet under us for mess
We'd make scrap books to win a prize~
Kept us busy lizzies for so long
Some pictures would open up ones eyes~
Every time we went back there
We'd show our scrapbooks around~
Making those busy lizzys
kept us quiet and not making a sound~
