where i'm from

I derive from arriving on time

Slime time live was the time of my life

The law of the land was a handful of sand

A snowman grayer than white but still alright

I’m from liquid firepower

Super effective critical hit

Killing members of my brother’s mouth

Killing myself

when my best friend moved south

I’m from AP tests and honors society

In a society that does not honor AP tests

imagine my anxiety

I’m from accidents happen

just when you think they aren’t gonna happen

I’m not from the football field

I’m not from the church

I’m not from a world concealed

because of these answers I search

I’m from baruch atah adonai

Elohaynu melech ha’alom

Nine fires at night and crossless walls

Perfect circle spectacles and

never using public stalls

I’m from the school of thought

that thinks about school

Dreaming of the western bay

You ask where I’m from?

I’m from every single yesterday
