One job was all it took,
I never took a second look.
Within seconds before my eyes,
My heart was struck, and I realized,
That beyond the jobs, and the red robes, she suffered, screaming for me to come home.
She’d warned me once or twice before,
But my anger sent me slamming doors.
So I look back with a smile on my face, knowing in this cruel world I hold no place.
Because in this hell you call home,
I sit laughing all alone...
Sometimes a joke can be killing
