Before the love you gave me,
I was a caterpillar.
I was scared to do it again
I hid away from potential mates.
I build walls around myself
A Cocoon.
I never knew that one day I would be treated like the butterfly I truly am.
I am the butterfly she admires the colors of everyday
I am the beautiful one she keeps as hers
I tore apart myself due to the hurt
but I still managed to be a butterfly.
