Oct 2012
Her mind fights it all her days
Even when her body gives way
Like a young girl, wild and free
She stops the feeling that stirs in her being
The sun, it sets upon her days
Her auburn hair begins to grey
Like falling in love and hardly knowing
Her day of death closer is growing
Her bones ache as a love-sick heart yearns
She falls deeper in love with death as her skin becomes worn
Though her lovely heart longs to stay young
Death will sneak up and one day will have won
She knows that she will soon be nothing but bones
Buried beneath cold rocks and stone
And yet a secret keeps her lovely heart believing
She knows that what's inside her will no longer be caged
She knows that her lovely heart has been saved
