May 2018
Unto the forest of flames,
River of decay;
Watch the dead dance -
Holding torches for one last chance
That the winds may cease their violent howls

And permit the land to sigh.
The mind, dark - no light.

   immortal sight

Of the trees; vines strangle
The body, setting life free -
Let death breathe,
  For you and I

Will never know
Redemption: and I close my eyes
Allow convenience soften me.
I lie. I help.

  I'm in paradise.
Is this happiness?
